MagLev In Minnesota!
I proposition that the state of Minnesota install a MagLev train that would someday stretch from St. Cloud, to the twin cities, and all the way down 169 to Mankato. Although it is clear from previously stated figures that 150 miles of MagLev guideways would be extremely expensive, starting with a shorter guideway running just from the cities to Shakopee or the other way up to Monticello could bring in great revenue for the MagLev eventually paying for itself as well as extensions to the track. Also, because the MagLev is an elevated track it can actually follow a more direct route to the cities, cutting down the amount of track needed. The benefits of having this MagLev are incredible. Imagine if all commuting workers within an hour of the cities could get there in less than a quarter of the time - no traffic, no paying for gas, no vehicle even necessary.
Not only would commuting workers benefit from the MagLev, but also shoppers, entertainment, and many other businesses. Jobs would be created by the MagLev as well as expanding businesses, nt to mention any other unforseen benefits. The MagLev could run directly to the Metrodome and Target Stadium, helping Minnesota fans be better connected.
